Wish List

22,000 is a huge number of lives that you have helped in a personal way. Children Everyday – 24 hours a day – for 23 years, that’s 201,480 hours that trained, compassionate professionals, many, many professionals have been caring for and watching over a lot of young heads. Will you help us? Your donation will impact greater numbers of kids than ever before while encouraging others to give! In our 23 years, partners like you, have invested over 36.8 million in the lives of 22,000. That’s amazing! However, now in a time when funding at the federal, state and county level has declined, sadly, the number of children that are abused, neglected, abandoned and tossed away like trash – has increased. These kids need YOU now more than ever! Please HELP!

Here you will find a list of needs. We welcome your donation to support any area that fits your interests. Thank you!

The children we serve range in age from newborn to 17 years old. These children may stay with us for a few hours, a few days, or many months, depending on their circumstances. We try to make their stay with us as pleasant as possible, while their family issues are being resolved.

There are certain items that are always on our “Wish List” for the children at our shelters.

We need clothes and shoes, new or in good condition, in all sizes for both boys and girls.

We can also use toys, games, dolls, stuffed animals (as long as they are new), books, diapers, and sporting equipment such as baseball mitts, ping-pong paddles and balls, tennis rackets and balls, basketballs, and fishing poles.

The children at our shelters also enjoy recreational outings-fishing trips, meals in restaurants, afternoons at the movies, etc. If you own a local business that could donate these services, or would like to treat our children to a recreational outing, please let us know.

There are also things that come up from time to time that we add to our “Wish List.” (Last year, for example, we had to replace one of our air conditioning units.) To find out what special needs the shelter may have, or to donate any other items on our “Wish List,” please call 305-852-4246, ext. 222.
