Islamorada, Village of Islands, Florida (population 7,000) known as the "Sport Fishing Capital of the World" is an hour south of Miami. The Village is characterized by water, sun, fishing and locally owned restaurants in a small-town atmosphere. Rumor has it that we host a larger fishing fleet per square mile than anywhere else in the world. This perfect family destination offers something to do in, under, above or near the water 24 hours a day.

The four islands of Islamorada offer numerous tranquil spots to relax under the sun's glorious golden rays. Enjoy a beachfront cocktail, sunset cruise or spend the day shopping at one of the area's unique shops or galleries. Once you are relaxed, the finest in dining awaits to satisfy the tastes of every member of your family.

In Islamorada, you can still get a feel for the laid back attitude that has made the Keys such a great escape from the stress and busy lifestyles of the mainland.

"I grew up in the Keys, and this place is so intimate that I consider everyone my extended family. When you live in paradise, it's easy to forget that not everyone is as fortunate as you are. But if you step back for a moment and think about what's really important in life, isn't the answer always family?

I have been very fortunate and successful because I had a strong foundation growing up. I think if every kid could have the kind of love and support I grew up with, there's no doubt this would be an even more spectacular place to live. I'm so grateful to be able to aid the efforts of the Florida Keys Children's Shelter and I'm really looking forward to seeing the outcome of their hard work."
